Gothenburgs Welcome - 32 bar Jig
Bar
1-4 1st Couple cast one place,then set advancing to face 1st corners. 2C step up
5-10 2C, 1C, 3C 'dance to corners and set' - 1st corner dance into the middle, turn 90 right and dance out to 2nd corners position
and set. This 6 bar figure is also danced by 1C and 2nd corner in a different order. 1C dance out passing 1st corner RS, set
turning and dance in to face 2nd corner while 2nd corners set, dance in passing 1st corner RS and out to the next place to
the right.
11-16 Dance to corners and set again finish with 1C facing 1st corner persons and 3c, 2C on the wrong sides
17-20 1C dance a 1/2 reel of four with 1st corners passing RS
21-24 1C dance a 1/2 reel of four with 2nd corners and finish LS to LS in the middle facing opposite sides
25-28 1L dances RH across with 2C whilst 1M dances RH across with 3C finishing on the side lines
29-32 2C, 1C & 3C turn partners RH
Brisk Young Lad (5 couples) - 48 Bar Jig
Bar
1-12 1C, 2C, 4C & 5C reels of four on own side round standing 3C
13-16 1C,2C & 4C, 5C face on side lines turn RH while 3C turn LH 1 1/3
17-24 3L with 1M &2M and 3M with 4L & 5L RH across, 3C pass RS 3L with 4M & 5M and 3M with 1L &2L LH across. 3C pass LS and face out on own side (in 3rd place)
25-28 3L cast off 2 and dance into middle of set and 3M cast up 2 places and dance into middle of set while 4L & 5L and 1M &2M advance and retire.
29-32 3C pass right shoulder 3L dance out the top of the set and cast to 3rd place, 3M dance out the bottom of the set cast to 3rd place, while 1L &2L and 4M and 5M advance and retire.
33-40 10 hands round and back
41-48 1C set advancing lead to the bottom of the set while 2C, 3C, 4C & 5C set and cast up 1 place, all turn RH.
The Bees of Maggie Knockater - 32 Bar Jig

1-4 1C cross RH cast off one place
5-8 1C & 3C RH across
9-12 1M & 3L join in promenade hold and dance a 1/2 reel on L side giving RS to 4th L finish in middle facing up, whilst 1L & 3M join and dance a 1/2 reel on M side give RS to 2nd M finish in the middle facing down
13-16 1C & 3C change to promenade hold with own partner 1C dance out and down on M side 1/2 reel whilst 3C dance out and up on L side 1/2 reel
17-20 As they meet swop partner, 1L & 3M dances out and down on L side whilst 1M & 3L dance out and up on M side meet again in middle
21-24 With own partner 1C dance out and up on L side turn to face down while 3C dance out and down on M side and face up.(From bars 9-24 2C & 4C dance 2 full reels of three on the side lines 2C finish in 1st place 4C finish in 4th place)
25-32 1C turn 3C inside hands 1 1/2 (1C on the wrong side, 3C on own side) 3C finish in 2nd place, 1C cross over to their own side, 1C turn 4C inside hands 1 1/2 to finish dance in order 2, 3, 4, 1
Hooper's Jig - 32 Bar Jig

1-8 Clap! 1C cross and cast off one place. 1C and 3C right hands across
9-16 Clap! 1C cross and cast up one place. 1C and 2C left hands across
17-20 1M and 3L cross RH, 1L and 3M cross RH
21-24 1M and 3L cross RH, 1M cast off one while 1L and 3M cross LH
25-32 2C and 1C rights and lefts
Muirland Willie - 32 Bar Jig
Bar
1-4 1C cross down to third place and cast up to 2nd place on opposite sides, whilst 2C set and cross down to 3rd place on opposite sides, whilst 3C cast up two places and cross to 1st place on opposite sides
5-8 All set and turn partner half way (both hands) to own sides
9-16 Repeat bars 1-8 from new positions - 3C (in 1st position) cross down two, cast up one, whilst 1C (in 2nd place) set, cross down one, whilst 2C (in 3rd place) cast up two and cross, 2C, 3C, 1C set and cross BH
17-24 1C lead up to top, set twice
25-32 1C and 2C pousette
Campbelltown Loch - 48 Bar Jig

On the 2nd chord the 1L moves to 2M place, whilst 2M moves to 2L place whilst 2L moves to 1L place, 3C & 4C move accordingly
1-8 All advance and retire, cross RH and turn partner LH into lines facing up and down the set
9-16 All advance and retire, cross RH and turn partner LH into lines across the set
17-24 3C with 4C and 1C with 2C dance RA and LA
25-32 3C and 2C dance diagonal reels of four (Ls passing LS in middle)
33-40 1C and 4C dance ladies chain
41-44 3C with 4C and 1C with 2C dance half rights and lefts
45-48 3C and 2C dance half diagonal rights and lefts
Barr's Wedding Birl - 32 Bar Reel
Bar
1-8 1L and 2L half turn LH while 1M and 2M half turn RH. 1L and 3L half turn RH, whilst 1M and 3M half turn LH. 1C and 2C
set advancing, half turn BH (finish facing each other in the middle of the dance. 1C stay in the middle 2C stay in the middle as well but open up after turn to face 3 C so set will be in "upside down" triangle shape ready for...)
9-16 Interlocking reels of four (banana reels - finishing on side lines 1C, 3C opposite sides)
17-24 1C, 2C cross RH, 1C cast up one place and turn RH (or birl) 3C step down
25-32 Circle to the left, on last bar of circle cross over right foot to turn back ( like Major Ian Stewart) 2C, 3C chase back whilst 1C turn LH in the middle (or birl)
Kiss Under the Stairs - 32 Bar Jig - MMM II
Bar
1-8 First couple set and cast, then circle once round to theleft with 3rd couple.
9-16 First couple set and cast up, then circle once round to the left with 2nd couple.
17-24 First couple lead down the middle for 2 bars, up for 2, cast (2nd couple stepping up) , and turn with right hands.
25-32 First couple lead down through 3rd couple and cast up on own side to 2nd place. All three couples turn with right hands.
Ellie's Jig - 32 Bar Jig
Bar
1-8 First woman pass partner with left shoulders, dance behind the top three men, then across the dance and up the woman's side to place. Second woman wait two bars, then dance similarly around 2nd and 3rd men, following 1st woman. Third woman wait four bars, then dance around 3rd man, following 2nd woman.
9-16 Men repeat, passing right shoulders.
17-24 Slip Knot: First 2 couples dance first six bars of the Knot, then left hands across half way to original places, ready for
25-32 Pousette.
Light and Airy - 32 Bar Jig - Book 4, No. 5

1-4 First couple set and cast off to 3rd place.
5-8 They set and cast up to 1st place.
9-16 First couple lead down the middle and up.
17-24 First and 2nd couples allemande, ending with 1st couple facing 1st corners.
25-32 Corner, partner, corner, partner.
Airdrie Lassies - 48 Bar Jig - Set Dance - Book 26, No. 1
Bar
1-4 All four couples advance and retire.
5-8 All cross to partner's side of dance, men making arches, women dancing under arches, passing right shoulders with partners.
9-16 Repeat bars 1-8.
17-20 First and 4th couples pivot using right elbow grip, ending in from the side lines facing up (4th) and down (1st) the dance.
21-28 Dance right and left up and down the dance, dancing inside the set.
29-32 First and 4th couples repeat bars 17-20 using a left elbow grip.
33-40 First and 4th couples dance Ladies' Chain. On the last 2 bars, 1st couple dance a whole turn with left hands to finish on own side of dance facing out.
41-48 First couple, followed by 2nd, 3rd and 4th cast off on own sides. On bar 44 they make an arch and the other couples dance through to finish 2341.
The Rakish Highlandman - 40 Bar Jig - Book 9, No. 16I

1-8 Right shoulder reels of three on the side.
9-16 First couple lead down the middle and up.
17-24 First and 2nd couples dance allemande, ending with 1st couple facing 1st corners.
25-32 Turn corner, partner, corner, then pass right shoulder into
33-40 Double triangles.
Kendall's Hornpipe - Jig 8x32 RSCDS Graded

1- 8 1C,2C dance rights and lefts
9-16 1C lead down the middle, back to the top, cross and cast off to 2nd place on the wrong sides
17-24 2L,1L dance a ladies' chain
25-32 2C,1C advance and retire. 1C turn 1-1/2 RH to own sides in 2nd place

The Laird of Milton's Daughter - Jig 8x32 RSCDS XXII

1- 8 1C set, cross RH, cast one place and turn LH to finish facing 1st corners
9-16 1st Corners' Chain - 1C change places RH with 1st corners, 1st corners turn LH in the middle, 1C change places RH with 1st corners, 1C turn LH to face 2nd corners
17-24 2nd Corners' Chain - change places RH with 1C, turn LH, change places RH, 1C turn LH to 2nd place
25-32 2C,1C,3C circle 6 hands round and back
The Frisky - Jig 8x32 RSCDS XXVI>

1- 8 1C turn RH and cast one place while 2C step up. 1C turn LH and cast off one place while 3C step up
9-16 2C,3C,1C circle six hands round and back
17-24 1C lead to the top while 2C,3C step down. 1C,2C set twice
25-32 1C,2C dance half rights and lefts to change places. 2C,1C set and cross RH
Miss Allie Anderson - Jig 8x32 RSCDS

1- 8 All clap. 1L,2L,3L dance round their partners passing RS to finish in the middle, RH joined with partners, facing down. 1C,2C,3C lead down the middle
9-16 1M,2M,3M turn their partners under their raised ight arm to face up and dance up to original places on the wrong sides. 1C,2C,3C set and turn 1/2 RH into promenade hold facing up
17-24 1C,2C,3C promenade
25-32 1C dance a RH wheel with 2L - 1M finishes in 2nd place (2M steps up to 1st place on bars 27-28). 1C dance a LH wheel with 2M - 1C finish in 2nd place (2L steps up to 1st place on bars 31-32)
Major Ian Stewart - Jig 8x32 RSCDS
Bar
1- 8 1C,2C turn 1/2 RH and dance half a RH wheel. 2C,1C turn RH once round - 2C face out
9-16 2C,1C,3C dance reels of 3 on the sides - 1C pass the person on their right by RS and finish facing 1st corners while 2C,3C dance to place the long way round
17-24 1C set to 1st corners, set to partner, set to 2nd corners then dance a Petronella turn to 2nd place
25-32 2C,1C,3C circle six steps round to the left, pivot round by pulling LS back and chase ACW to place
The Flight of the Falcon - Jig 8x32 Priddey

1- 8 1C set and cast one place. 1C turn LH to finish with 1M facing 3L - 1L close behind her partner.
9-24 1C dance a reel of 3 on the 1st corners' diagonal- as 1C pass round each corner position they change order so that after passing 3L at the beginning, 1L is ahead of 1M and so on. 1C repeat on the 2nd corners' diagonal - start by passing 3M RS. 1C finish the reels facing their own 1st corners
25-32 1C turn 1st corners RH, pass RS, turn 2nd corners RH and pass RS to 2nd place
Postie's Jig - Jig 4x32 Ormskirk V

1- 8 1C,4C set. 1C cast as 2C step up and dance half a figure of 8 around 2C while 4C cast as 3C step down and dance half a figure of 8 around 3C
9-12 1L,4L and 1M,4M join nearer hands and dance across - ladies under the men's arch. 1C,4C turn the corners by the free hand to finish with 1C between 2C facing down and 4C between 3C facing up
13-16 Repeat bars 9-12 up and down the set. 4C (coming up) make the arch for 1C and finish in order 2C,4C,1C,3C on own sides
17-24 Repeat bars 9-16 - across, turn corners, up or down (couple coming up make the arch), turn corners - finish in order 2C,1C,4C,3C with 1C,4C on wrong sides
25-32 1C,4C dance half rights and lefts. 4C,1C turn partners RH
The Wild Geese - Jig 8x32 RSCDS XXIV

1- 4 1C,3C set into the middle to make a line of 4 - 1M,1L,3M,3L. 1C,3C set
5- 8 1C turn 3/4 RH and cast off round 2C while 3C turn RH and lead to 1st place
9-12 3C,1C set into the middle to make a line of 4 - 3M,3L,1M,1L. 3C,1C set
13-16 3C turn 3/4 RH and cast off round 2C while 1C turn RH and lead to own places
17-32 1C lead down the middle and back up to 2nd place. 2C,1C dance rights and lefts
